This bowl was initially covered with blue slips. I then covered it with bands of red and black slip. I scratched through the top layer roughly and in places you can see the blue under coat. There are a few phrases scratched into surface which are quotes from a poem written by my brother (Roger Knott-Fayle 1956-2022).
