The first set of beaker cups is called -"Ancient but Modern". The idea was based on archeological pottery finds that have been buried for hundreds of years. When they are dug up often the colours are dirty or faded or covered in earth, but sometimes there is a glimpse of bright colour and the former glory. My beaker cups aim to echo this, hence, "ancient but modern".

Another point:- Some monitors or browsers make the colours look more washed out. 

These handmade stoneware cups are approximately 9cmx9cm. They hold approximately 250ml of liquid

They have been hand painted with coloured decorating slip, underglaze colours and then some scraffito. They are dishwasher safe.  The sides have two indentations for a comfortable grip.

Beaker number 2 (second set of pictures), is a second as it developed an "S" crack in the base. It does not effect the cup's ability to hold liquid or penetrate into the cup's interior. This has been repaired with an inert silicon filler.
